We
are going to church this morning, only one meeting. The stake president
suggested we arrive as the meeting starts and leave during the closing song to
simplify greeting people. I was grateful for his advice.
I reported to FaceBook Friends in Chile [Translation]:
Today
we went to sacrament meeting in our ward. Babcock Elder surprised by standing
up and walking to the front of the chapel to share his testimony. It's a
miracle that he can walk now. So much better in just one week. We are blessed. We
only attended one meeting and he was tired, but it was a sweet experience being
at home and having two of our children and their families with us. We will join
others for dinner tonight.
About
this time our family starting thinking seriously about getting everyone
together for a reunion. Deborah reminded
them that it was “Dad’s dream to get everyone together (as many people as possible)
to celebrate Mom and Dad's 50th anniversary in 2014. He's hoping for the same
level of sacrifice that we would all make to attend his funeral-- but he would
prefer to be there and enjoy it. Let the surveying and planning begin again!”
