Saturday, April 6

Saturday, little traffic on the sidewalks and in the streets, a very quiet day, also the day of General Conference. My daughter was greeted by her favorite hospital cleaning staff lady with a hug, a kiss and blessings. I went into the ICU a little early.

I wrote the following notes during the day:
Elder Babcock wanted more applesauce and drank all his juice. He had a little pain in his intestines. He keeps taking off the oxygen monitor. Blackboard still works best for explanations. We just finished with the therapist. Hard work. He did more today. Temperature 99.3.

Dr. Rivas was here just now. Ken is too sleepy from medication. Dr. Rivas will make them stop it, especially during the day when I am here. They need to stop the fever, find out the cause.

While Elder Babcock was sleeping I went outside to write blogs, and my daughter stayed with him. When he awoke, he wanted a watch. Time is important to a North American. Unable to watch Conference, I was sitting by my husband, holding his hand, helping him not feel alone.
