I tried to avoid foolish
questions and foolish answers too. I feel strongly about avoiding contention.
The impact on those contending is bad, but the impact spreads to others as
well.
Today is Labor Day in Chile. Last night the mall
closed at 9 and it will probably be closed today. I might have to go home
early. The streets were more deserted than Saturdays. No Labor Day sales here.
Dr. Concha said she was going to use her holiday working, doing research on how
to help Elder Babcock.
Elder Babcock really tried hard
with the therapist today. Once around the atrium, then up the 20 steps then
around the atrium and down the 20 steps all with only one foot on each step and
then he did leg lifts and squats at the bar. And he tried to notice people and
talk to them while he was walking. I was impressed and so was the therapist. I
think he wants go get out of here.
The fluid that shows in the MRI
is something, but they don't think it is the meningitis infection. That may be
part of Dr. Concha's research today. Dr. Riva will do more brain scans with the
Doppler scanner. Temperature continues normal today. They hope the cortisone
will help it.
Pres. Alvarez and his family
came to visit. Elder Babcock remembered the district president and his son
Lucas who was in his primary class
