Wednesday, May 15 - mutterings
What is there to talk about in the morning? People like cool
weather here, but they always complain about it when it is cold. This
morning fits cold. My weather app says it is 27 degrees, 28 now. I
have been thinking about walking a long way to a store that was recommended to
me. Sometimes walking is easier than driving and parking. We don't
have doctor appointments today, but one for tomorrow and one for Friday.
I am looking forward to going home Saturday morning.
When Ken lets me on the computer I work on pulling together a journal of the last weeks. It has been a slow process, especially on bad days when lots of communication has gone on. I'm afraid it is much more information that anyone would want to read, but I am making this first draft for Ken and including pictures.
We think we have solved Ken's problem with constant acid stomach. He takes a spoonful of vinegar in a little bit of water before meals. It seems like it shouldn't work, but it does for some reason. Now his big frustration is a pulled neck/shoulder muscle. He has me rub it with an arnica cream which helps for a little bit.
Yesterday we walked around a big block with only three sit downs. It was more like six blocks because the two of the sides were double. We continue to get one meal a day from the restaurant in Jumbo. I have been bringing it here. It is easier to see what something is in a cafeteria setting and know approximately what you are getting. It will be nice to be able to cook for us. I love microwaves, even cheap slow ones are better than none.
